The Beginning

Our clients had recently purchased a bungalow in Gunthorpe that had a driveway that had been overlaid with tarmac numerous times and was causing issues with flooding due to being higher than the damp course and having aco drains near the garage that weren’t connected to any drains and therefore useless.

They wanted to improve the look of the driveway, cure the flooding issues and at the same time extend the size of the drive at the front.

Work we carried out

To extend the drive at the front meant the front garden wall would need to be shortened. As the wall was in pretty bad condition it was decided to demolish the existing wall and for us to build a new one.

The tarmac was removed where required from the driveway and a new base of open course bitumen installed and also used for the extended area.

This was installed on a new base of MOT Type-1 hardcore and the entire perimeter area edged with Charcoal block paviours.

The install was then troweled with Golden Pea aggregate bound in UVR resin for vehicular traffic.

The end result is a surface that allows the water to drain through it, will be resistant to weeds, oil and moss and will not fade. Not only this but it looks absolutely superb.

The Beginning

We had recently completed a security fence installation for Virans in Orton Goldhay.

Our client contacted us as they decided it would be useful for a ramp to be installed to make taking the large commercial bins being used at the premises in and out.

Work we carried out

We dug out the install area and created a concrete ramp with supports.

The ramp was available to use the following day and has made things a lot easier for our client and their staff.

The project

We were contacted by a client in Stamford who had a flat roof which was leaking and in desperate need of replacing.

The work we completed

The roof needed stripping back and new boards fitting. Once the boards were installed we added the first layer of black felt which was attached securely to the boards. A second layer of felt was then burnt onto and bonded to the first layer before adding a final layer of green felt, again burnt on and bonded to ensure the roof was fully watertight.

The felt we used was of the highest quality and comes with a 12 year guarantee.

As well as fitting the new roof we also repointed the brickwork.

The client was very happy with the finished project and has since given us another project to work on.
