The Beginning

Our customer had a small driveway in front of a garage that was looking quite tired and unsightly.

They had seen some of our previous work and wanted us to transform with a resin bound installation.

Work we carried out

The area was prepared by taking some of the ground work out to give us our height levels and then the area overlaid with Devon Yellow aggregate bound in UV resistant resin.

The Beginning

Our customer in Werrington had a worn out tarmac driveway that she wanted to extend and make wider.

Work we carried out

The existing tarmac driveway was repaired and the extended area excavated for a new bitumen base.

Edging blocks where installed and the area stoned up with type-1 hardcore to give a good solid base.

Once the bitumen base had been installed the area was trowelled with Daltex Silver resin bound in UV resistant resin laid at 20mm for vehicular traffic.

All edging blocks were primed and sealed to keep their colour which compliments the resin very well.

The Beginning

Our client had a very old tarmac drive which had worn out in lots of places, had a lot of moss and generally looked a lot worse for wear.

Work we carried out

The areas that were beyond repair were excavated and new tarmac base installed. Other areas were repaired and new edging blocks installed.

The entire area was then trowelled with Golden Pea aggregate 1-3 and 2-5mm bound in UV resistant resin.

A huge transformation and extremely happy customers.

The Beginning

Our client contacted us after seeing us install driveway not far from them a month or so previous and loved the look of the product.

They wanted to improve the look of their current driveway which was on its last legs with worn tarmac and concrete which had sunk quite badly in places.

Work we carried out

A lot of the area was too badly damaged to be used for an overlay so we made good what we could and installed new base work with the areas too damaged and that had badly sunk.

The customers wanted to extend the area to the front door by about a metre and also have the levels put right as the concrete and tarmac where different heights in different areas.

We installed new edging blocks and once the tarmac base had cured, installed Golden Pea aggregate bound in UV resistant resin for vehicular traffic.

The result is a driveway that has totally transformed the look of the property and some very happy customers.

The Beginning

Our client contacted us as they wanted to improve the look of the front area of their property in Werrington.

We suggested that they take a look at a recent resin installation we had completed in Werrington as this would be a great product to improve the look and give them next to no maintenance.

Once the customer had visited one of our installations they we keen to move forward with the use of Resin and we arranged a time for one of our team to pop over and take some measurements and come up with some design ideas.

Work we carried out

We decided to overlay the concreted area with resin bound aggregate and install new KL kerb edgings in order to gain the height required whilst also improving the look with a new colour contrast between the resin and blocks.

After deciding on charcoal blocks with Devon Yellow aggregate we continued this look onto the triangle area with further charcoal blocks for edging and also re-laying the circle area.

The circle area was prepped up for matching Devon yellow aggregate bound in resin and the plum slate was replaced with loose Rhine Yellow 16mm aggregate.

To add the finishing touches all the block work was primed and colour sealed to really bring out the contrasting colours of the Yellow against the charcoal.

The Beginning

Our customer had a tarmac driveway which had worn quite badly in some areas and was also being affected by roots from a close by tree. They wanted to improve the look of the drive with a Resin Bound overlay.

Work we carried out

After an initial survey it was decided that we would widen the driveway slightly by removing a row of blocks to the left of the drive as you look at the property.

Damaged areas of tarmac were excavated and concreted to give a good solid base and the tree root affecting the drive was removed.

All blocks were lifted and re-laid to give 18-20mm height for the resin overlay.

Golden Pea aggregate 1-3 and 2-5mm was used, bound in UV resistant resin for vehicular traffic.

To finish the installation off, all the blocks were primed and colour fast to improve their look and match the newly installed resin.

As usual the end result has absolutely transformed the property.

The Beginning

Our customers had loose gravel in their front and rear gardens that they wanted to change over to a similar colour but as a Resin Bound installation meaning no maintenance.

Work we carried out

The areas were dug out by hand to the required levels, stoned up using MOT type 1 hard-core with edging blocks installed.

We then installed a concrete base which needed some time to cure ready for us to trowel the rein.

Once the concrete had cured, the area was primed and the resin (Gold Quartz) was trowelled on.

The Beginning

Our lovely customers had an old concrete driveway which had seen better days. The levels were somewhat all over the place too with a big drop from the garage area to the front door which they were hoping we could improve.

Work we carried out

We decided that a large proportion of the concrete driveway could be used for the install base but the centre (which was gravelled) and the front needed to be excavated to make solid and to give us our installation levels and improve the levels for the customer.

Once we had our levels we installed new charcoal block edgings and concreted where required to give a strong base.

After the concrete had enough time to cure we installed a 3 to 1 mixture of Daltex Silver and Daltex Black aggregate bound in a UV Resistant Resin.

All our installations both Resin and Block Paving are installed using MOT type 1 hard-core and whacker plated numerous times to give the strongest base possible. This is the difference between doing a job properly to a high standard or cutting corners and getting half a job.

The Beginning

Our client had an area out the front of their new-build property that they had excavated and wanted to use for extended parking.

Work we carried out

As the area was already excavated we started by having to hardcore the area with MOT Type-1 hardcore and whacker down to make sure the base is solid and not going to move anywhere. (This is one of the main reasons you see block paving sunk in places. Proper type-1 hardcore hasn’t been used, not enough or it hasn’t been compacted properly.)

Once the base is installed correctly, edging kerbs were installed and the base topped with bitumen.

Once cured the drive was trowelled with the customers choice of Daltex Red aggregate bound in UV resistant resin for vehicular traffic.

The Beginning

Our customer had a lovely property in Uppingham with a tarmac driveway which although hadnt been installed that long ago, was driving them crazy with little bits of stone being traipsed into the house.

They had seen a resin bound installation elsewhere and contacted us as their son who is in the building trade immediately knew of our lead installer and knew the job would be a good one with him having installed driveways for now over 30 years.

Work we carried out

To give the Resin installation 18-20mm we needed to cut out some areas of the tarmac installation so that the blocks could stay at the right height for the electric gates, garage etc.

These areas were then concreted to give a good solid base at the right depth.

Once the concrete had enough time to cure correctly the concrete areas were primed ready for us to install the entire resin overlay in Golden Pea aggregate bound in a UV resistant resin 1-3 & 2-5mm.

Part of the install included removing an old manhole cover and replacing with a camouflage one.

The end result was perfect and the customers are absolutely over the moon saying we exceeded their expectations.
