The Beginning
Our client had a large garden area that consisted of a slabbed patio area and an already excavated area of soil.
He wanted to install something that would be zero maintenance, look nice and be easy to walk on.
Work we carried out
The install area of approximately 190sqm was fully excavated membrane was installed.
MOT Type-1 hardcore was used to create a nice strong base prior to new blocks being installed to edge the entire project.
We created a circular raised area for a fire pit to be situated and once all the block work was complete the entire install was topped with Open Course Bitumen to ensure the project was fully permeable and SUDS compliant.
After allowing enough time for the bitumen to oxidise the project was finished in a mixture of Britney Bronze and Golden Pea, hand trowelled to a smooth finish.
