The Beginning
Our customers had a tarmac driveway that was pooling water quite badly.
They wanted to stop the water pooling and at the same time improve the aesthetics of the driveway.
Work we carried out
It was decided that a Resin Bound installation would be the perfect choice for our clients as the install will be permeable and with over 70 different colour blends available we could select the perfect combination of aggregate blend along with block border.
Upon excavation it was discovered that the tarmac had simply been overlaid onto a concrete pad which was causing most of the pooling issues.
The entire driveway was excavated, a new MOT Type-1 sub-base installed with 14mm Open Course Asphalt top.
New Tegula edging blocks were then installed to secure the install which was finished in Sienna blend aggregate hand trowelled in UVR Pro Resin.
