Resin Bound Hover Trowel Machine Polish

Two Resin Bound Driveway’s Completed in Longthorpe

The beginning

Our customers had a two shared access driveways that were tarmac they wanted to improve the look of as they were prone to puddling and difficult to keep looking nice.

Work we carried out

One of the driveways was extended slightly to improve the parking area. New block edgings were installed around the perimeter to house the Resin Bound surfacing we had planned for the installs. The first driveway was troweled and a metal edging strip used to park the boundary between both drives but give the impression the install was completed as one. A few days later (when we finally had some fair weather) the second area was completed. Both areas were machine polished with hover trowel to increase bonding strength and overall look. A lovely transformation that both customers are extremely happy with.

Resin was troweled over the entire area with a C52 additive to increase anti-slip and the entire area machine polished with hover trowel to increase bonding strength and general finish.

Resin Bound Driveway completed in March Cambridgeshire

Damaged Resin Driveway Replaced in March

The beginning

Our customers had a Resin bound driveway that had been installed a few years ago but not at the correct depths so it had failed. Unfortunately the company that installed the drive are no longer trading so the customer contacted us to see if it could be repaired,

Work we carried out

Unfortunately the company that installed the driveway originally had used a cheap non UV Resin and troweled in in areas way below the required depth, hence the driveway had failed. To rectify, the driveway Resin Surface was lifted and new blocks were installed at the correct heights so the correct depth of resin could be troweled. New “Carnival” blend of aggregate was hand troweled, bound in UVR Resin at 18mm. The end result is a lovely looking driveway that took just a day and a half to complete.
