Our customer had a gravel driveway that was prone to weeds and was difficult to keep looking nice.
Work we carried out
A Resin Bound system was decided on and the driveway excavated for a fully SUDS compliant installation. New charcoal edging blocks were used to contain the install and open course bitumen installed on top of new MOT Type one hardcore to create a fully porous base. Resin was troweled over the entire area with a C52 additive to increase anti-slip and the entire area machine polished with hover trowel to increase bonding strength and general finish.
The beginningOur customers had a tarmac entrance way leading to a gravel area that then led to a block paved parking area at their property in Ketton. They wanted to improve the look of the entrance to the property and asked us to quote to install a Resin Bound driveway entrance.
Work we carried outThe area was excavated and a new MOT Type-1 hardcore base installed. New edging blocks in Red were used to contain the installation and an open course layer of 14mm Bitumen was laid to make the installation fully permeable and SUDS compliant. The install was then finished with one of our unique blends of aggregate bound in UVR Resin.
The beginningOur customers had a Resin bound driveway that had been installed a few years ago but not at the correct depths so it had failed. Unfortunately the company that installed the drive are no longer trading so the customer contacted us to see if it could be repaired,
Work we carried outUnfortunately the company that installed the driveway originally had used a cheap non UV Resin and troweled in in areas way below the required depth, hence the driveway had failed. To rectify, the driveway Resin Surface was lifted and new blocks were installed at the correct heights so the correct depth of resin could be troweled. New “Carnival” blend of aggregate was hand troweled, bound in UVR Resin at 18mm. The end result is a lovely looking driveway that took just a day and a half to complete.
The beginningOur customers had a large patio area, pool area and driveway that they were fed up of having to remove weeds from and wanted to improve the look of.
Work we carried outAfter considering various options it was decided that a Resin Bound installation would installed. Sterling Silver was used around the pool and patio area at the rear of the house and Slate Grey used at the front of the driveway in two parts, split using a professional edging bead. A massive transformation all-round that will require much less maintenance to keep looking nice.
The beginningOur customers were moving into their new home and wanted to improve the concrete driveway by widening it slightly and overlaying it with Resin Bound.
Work we carried outA new step was installed at the front door and new edging blocks added to the pathway and around the driveway area to contain the Resin Surfacing. The driveway was finished in Aluminium aggregate bound in UVR Resin.
The beginningThis installation was completed for a property developer and his neighbour in Maxey. They wanted to improve the aesthetics of their driveways and the neighbour also wanted to create more space.
Work we carried outThe driveways were excavated where required and new opencourse base work installed. The neighbour wanted a slightly raised border and with both driveways being joined it was decided to use an aluminium edging to split the installs but keep them looking like one unit. Both driveways were finished in Golden Quartz aggregate bound in UVR Resin.
The beginningOur customer had a gravel driveway they wanted to improve the look of and reduce maintenance.
Work we carried outTo give minimum maintenance a Resin Bound driveway was installed onto a fully permeable Bitumen base and finished in Aluminium aggregate bound in UVR Resin.
The beginningOur client had a slabbed patio area that they were struggling to keep looking nice and suffered with puddling when it rained.
Work we carried outWe adjusted the levels in certain places to allow for rain fall off and surrounded the installation with a new block border. Manhole covers were recessed to keep a nice clean look and the entire area including pathway were overlaid in Pearl Quartz aggregate bound in UVR Resin.
Our customers had a large concrete driveway that had seen better days that they wanted to improve the look of.
Work we carried out
It was decided that the cheapest and most aesthetically pleasing installation would be a Resin Bound one. We overlaid damaged areas of concrete with 14mm open course bitumen and installed Puter edging blocks to the entire install. We created a new step at the front door using Porcelain to compliment the rest of the driveway. The driveway was then finished in Pearl Quartz aggregate bound in UVR Resin and a Block Paved entrance to break up the use of materials.
